As a seasoned Psychologist, she brings a wealth of experience garnered from years of dedicated service in both private practice and governmental settings. She is an experienced anxiety and trauma therapist. She uses therapies that are backed by research and known to improve wellbeing.

Who do we treat?

At Bella Vida Psychology, we provide face to face and online telehealth therapy to older adolescents (16+) and adults.

We have a particular interest in treating anxiety conditions (including Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Panic Disorder) and trauma.

Are you feeling restlessness, struggling with anxious thoughts, and avoiding situations, places, or people due to worry? Have your life experiences caused you to feel easily triggered and now affect how you see yourself and other people? At Bella Vida Psychology, we can support you to heal your nervous system, learn healthy coping strategies, improve your self-worth, set boundaries, and establish healthy, reciprocal, and trusting relationships.

The main therapies we use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema-informed Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy. These therapies are backed by research and known to improve wellbeing.

 FAQ

  • The APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2024-2025 has set the standard consultation fee for a clinical psychologist at $311 per hour. However, Isabella charges less than this at $245 per standard 50 minute session.

If you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral, the rebate is currently $141.85. That means, the average out-of-pocket expense per session is $103.15.

This fee will increase to $255 as of July 1, 2025.

Isabella also supports NDIS participants (unfortunately, not agency-managed clients), which are charged $244.22 per hour, in line with the current NDIS price guide.

Contact your private health insurance provider to find out if they offer rebates for psychological consultations.

Fees are subject to change at one annual review.

  • Once you have scheduled an initial appointment, you will be sent paperwork and questionnaires to complete.

You may be eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan, which allows up to 10 subsidised psychological sessions per calendar year. If this is of interest, you can arrange an appointment with your GP to discuss this option.

Once you have scheduled an initial appointment, you may want to consider the following:

    • Is there a specific issue or problem that I would like to discuss with the Psychologist?

    • What are my goals for therapy (i.e., what do I want to get out of coming)?

    • Is there a particular treatment modality I am interested in or reluctant to try?

    • If I have past therapy experience, what have I found helpful and unhelpful in the past?

If you are unsure how to answer any of these questions, that’s okay! You and Isabella can work collaboratively to establish what you want or need and what is the best way to achieve your goals.

  • At Bella Vida Psychology, we understand that life can be unpredictable and occasionally appointments need to rescheduled or cancelled. However, we ask that you provide at least 48 hours (2 business days) notice if you need to make changes to your appointment.

In the event of a late cancellation, rescheduling, or missed appointment, the following policy applies:

More than 48 hours (2 business days) notice - No fee

    Between 25 and 48 hours (1-2 business days) notice - $100 fee

Between 0 and 24 hours (less than 1 business day) - 100% of consultation fee

  • We understand if you may feel apprehensive about telehealth therapy. There is strong evidence for the effectiveness of telehealth therapy in treating a variety of conditions.

Telehealth therapy is delivered remotely through video conferencing or phone calls. You do not need special software on your phone or computer. Telehealth may be right for you if:

    • You have a private and quiet space with stable internet connection or phone reception

    • You feel drawn to or comfortable with the Psychologist

    • If you have a busy schedule and reducing travel time makes therapy more accessible

    • If you live in rural or remote locations where access to psychological services are limited

Telehealth may not be for you if:

    • You do not have access to a computer or phone

    • You have unstable internet or phone reception

    • You experience significant and acute suicidal ideation

    • You think you will struggle to connect with the Psychologist online

Please contact us with any questions you might have about this.

  • At Bella Vida Psychology, we don’t work with people under the age of 16, individuals with Eating Disorders, or those experiencing Psychosis. We do not currently offer psychological treatment funded by DVA or WorkCover. We do not offer court related reports or assessments, forensic psychology services or work capacity assessments.

  • “If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can't survive.”

    Brené Brown

  • “We can’t become what we need to be by remaining what we are.”
